Jan 8-10 - Wellington Area Venturee Extravaganza (WAVE) (Facebook page), Barber Scout Camp, Guelph, ON. $40. Sleep in tents outdoors. Katrina, Rebecca, Tim, Sean, Pat, Kristian, Ryan, Chris, Dave, Brian, Renate.
Jan 11 - Program night, 7:30-9:00 – bring Venturer handbook.
Jan 18 - Tobogganing, at Paulynn Park, Ravenscroft Rd north of Rossland, Ajax. Back up plan in case of no snow. Games night at St Andrews.
Jan 26-Feb 2 - (Exams)
Jan 25 - no meeting

February 2010

Feb 1 - Business Meeting, St Andrews, 7:30-9:00, uniform, Dues $5,
Feb 8 - Program night, will include another bash at the by-laws, planning banquet, etc. St Andrew's, 7:30-9:00
Feb 15 - (Family Day) Oshawa Generals, 2:05 pm: Chad + 2, Rebecca +2
Feb 22 - Movie Night at Ben's. 7:00-9:30 Bill & Ted’s Adventure
Feb 28 - Baden Powell Banquet, St Andrew's. Prepare meal for participants. Set up 3:00 pm, Banquet 5:00 pm. Organizing committee: Katrina, Pat, Rebecca, Sean.

March 2010

Mar 1 - Business Meeting, St Andrews, 7:30-9:00, uniform, Dues $5,
Mar 5-7 – Samac Adventure Base Retreat, Trading Post, Adventure Base, Haliburton, ON. $35. Relax, enjoy the snow, play cards, read or whatever. Meet at Brian's at 5:00 pm. Travel time is 2.5 hours. Remember we are in a cabin (heated and electric lights) but there is a 30 minute walk in the bush to get from the parking area. Pack well and bring winter clothing! It is colder up north.(Katrina, Joe, Addy, Kristian, Sean, Tim, Becky, Rebecca, Pat, Chad, Cameron, Renate, Brian)
Mar 8 - Personal Activities Presentations St Andrew's, 7:30-9:00 Bring Venturer hand book.Mar 13-21 - (March Break Week)

Jun 14 - Geocaching, Heber Down Conservation Area, 7-9. Meet at South gate, at top of Country Lane.
Jun 21 – Registration Deadline for early discount. Exams, no meeting
Jun 24-Jul 7 - Czech Republic Scouting experience, with side trips to Poland and Slovakia. Trip will include visit to Auschwitz, local castles, home hospitality and rustic camping experience with Czech Scouts. Estimate $1,200 per person. (Andrew, Donovan, John, Brad, Ryan, Joe, Brian, Renate)

Oct 15-17 –RoVent, Camp Opemikon, near Perth. Camp weekend, transportation, food, $50
Oct 18  – Venturer Social (plan Halloween Party for Beavers & Cubs?), St Andrew’s 7:30-9:00
Oct 22-24 – Apple Day – assist Beavers and Cubs were needed (Friday Evening, Saturday)
Oct 25 – Halloween Social – Patrick’s, 84 Muir Cres. 7:00–9:00. Bring candy, chips, drinks to share.   Scary movie (to be decided).
Oct 29-31 - Camp SOAP. (also Facebook page), Venturers & Rovers. Camp Samac, Oshawa. Theme is WILD. $35.

Nov 11 – Remembrance Day at Whitby Cenotaph, 10:15 am – 12:15 pm
Nov 15 – Bowling – Leisure Lanes, Champlain Ave, Oshawa (just east of Thickson Rd). 7:00-9:30, $7 each
Nov 19 – DDSB PA Day
Nov 19-21 – EWE Venturer/Rover Moot at Heber Down Conservation Area (Group camping area south of Lyndebrook Road), $29, arrival at 7:30 pm. Finish noon Sunday.
Nov 22 – Program night? Focus planning. St Andrew’s 7:30-9:00 Talk about the Venturer program. If you have a presentation that you've been working on, you could present it there (ex. personal interest presentation).
Nov 27 – Queen’s Venturer/Chief Scout Awards presentation 9:30 am at Kingsview United Church, 505 Adelaide Avenue East, Oshawa
Nov 29 - Business Meeting, St Andrews, 7:30-9:00, uniform, Dues $5.

December 2010

Dec 3-5 - Focus Youth Leadership weekend, senior Scouts & Venturers. Camp Samac, Oshawa. $45 (Cabins 5 & 6) arrival 7:00
Dec 6 - Christmas Party – hosted by Sean, 103 Gartshore Dr. 430-9188 bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to the DRPS Toy Drive, bring snacks to share. 7:00 – 9:00 (Venturers and Rovers)
Dec 13 – Skating at Nathan Phillips Square, Bay St & Queen St Toronto. Depart St Andrew’s 6:15, return to homes. Skate rental available. Dress for the weather. Hot chocolate will be available on site.
Dec 20 – Harry Potter 7 part 1. Cineplex Odeon Oshawa, 1351 Grandview St N, Oshawa (near Taunton Rd E) movie starts at 6:30 pm, meet 6:15.
Dec 20-31 Christmas School Break
